May 2, 2012 20:37 - Euro 2012 game is free

Organize your own Euro 2012 pool for FREE!

April 29, 2012 11:13 - Euro 2012 game is online

We've just installed the game for the European Championships soccer 2012!

To promote our site, the game is free! You don't have to pay for participants! So go ahead and organize your own Euro 2012 pool today!

June 24, 2010 11:15 - Points for finalists [WC soccer 2010]

We've changed the way points are displayed for the final rounds. This way it's more clear which countries were predicted correctly.

June 10, 2010 15:00 - Reminder: the world cup starts tomorrow [WC soccer 2010]

With only one day to go we want everybody to pay attention to his/her prediction. Please make sure you've joined the right pool and have not accidentally started your own pool. We've seen a couple of pools created with only one member in it and we suspect this is unwanted.

Tomorrow, 13:45 UTC (15:45 Central European Time) the game closes, meaning predictions can no longer be changed!!!

June 4, 2010 07:04 - Preview sent invitations

If you've sent an invitation to somebody, you didn't know what message was sent exactly. We've now added an option to view this message. You can check it out on an invitation's details page. This option can help you when an invitee has problems joining your pool.

Beware: This only works for invitations that were sent by the organization of the pool (so no self-invitations).

May 31, 2010 15:06 - New: invoices of your payments

We understand that the webpage itself is hard to print, so we created an option that allows you to download a PDF file for accepted payments.

May 27, 2010 08:46 - New: send e-mail to group

Organizers can now send an e-mail to a group of members or invitees, filtering by certain criteria. The option is very useful when you want to alert your members that their prediction isn't completed yet. Or you can remind your invitees that they haven't signed up for your pool yet.

You will find this new option in the members and invitations administration.

May 26, 2010 14:51 - More improvements to the invitation system

One of the major problems we discovered was that people have forgotten the password of the account they used two years ago. Once they want to reset their password (via the "Password lost?" link), they leave the (self) invitation process. After resetting their password, they arrive in the pool they played in two years ago, but they are not member of the pool they want to join now. We've now improved this behavior so that after resetting the password, they are being redirected to the (self) invitation page.

Beware: This only works as long as someone doesn't close his/her browser during the password reset process. This might happen if someone clicks the "password reset" link in the e-mail client. In that case, one still needs to follow the original (self) invitation link manually.

May 22, 2010 07:53 - New: API access!

Integrate TournamentGame into your own site? You can do it since today! We have added the possibility to integrate the standings of your pool into your own site. We will add more options on short notice (like viewing "guest book" messages written in TournamentGame on your own site).

Beware: this requires technical knowledge of programming websites. IT on Rails can help you with the integration. Please contact us (you can do so via the Contact page).

May 22, 2010 07:31 - New: improved "Password lost?" procedure

We admit: the procedure to reset a forgotten password, was to complicated! We removed the part where a password is being generated. From now on you can simply change the password yourself. So the system no longer generates a password for you.
